Reflecting our belief in the importance of the real estate and construction sector, and its role in the urban renaissance witnessed by the State of Qatar in recent times, we have established a special department which focuses on the legal work related to contracts received on real estate, whether those contracts concern building and construction works, lease contracts, or gift contracts received on the property.
Construction and Building Works:
Al-Attiya & Partners are specialists in drafting and reviewing local and international contracting contracts. The firm has extensive experience in providing legal advice, resolving contracting issues, and representing individuals and companies before the Investment Court. We always
endeavour to help our clients obtain their rights appropriately, through sound legal support and advice presented in a timely manner. Our partners also avoid future disputes by meticulously drafting contracts related to contracting and construction.
Mortgage Contracts and Loans:
Al-Attiya & Partners Legal Consultants & Attorneys includes an elite group of experienced and competent lawyers and consultants who possess the high levels of knowledge and skills required to draft and review real estate contracts, mortgage contracts, and loan contracts. They also represent clients in lawsuits pending before the courts related to real estate disputes, and on mortgages on the property.
Lease Contracts and Real Estate Disputes:
The firm has extensive experience in drafting and reviewing leases and other real estate contracts, such as those for sales or purchase, mortgage, gifts, and others. We also have a wealth of experience in providing legal consultations, following up on claims and disputes, drafting memorandums, and claiming rights related to lease contracts and other contracts which exist on a property. We have not only represented some distinguished parties in international courts, but have also been selected as the only Qatari law firm in the State of Qatar to join the discerning global Prae Legal network, which consists of over 115 law firms around the world. This cooperation equips us to provide integrated legal services that transcend geographical borders, and reflects our global vision of the firm’s role in the field of legal advice and advocacy, ensuring the provision of comprehensive and advanced legal solutions. Al-Attiya & Partners Legal Consultants & Attorneys has also collaborated with the firm of Ms. Elaine Al-Khoury in the Lebanese Republic, in order to cover all matters of international consultation and arbitration, especially those which have a Francophone focus. In addition, a collaborative relationship exists between our firm and that of Mr. Oliver Alexander, formerly a lawyer with us for 13 years and now practising in Germany, to cover pending cases, arbitration cases, and legal consultations in Europe, in both English and German. The firm has also served the local community by supporting youth legal projects, including the “Sanad Qanoni’ project, a social media awareness programme which is prepared and presented by young Qataris, students and graduates of Qatar University, and is directed at young people who do not have existing legal knowledge. The project aims to spread understanding of law by
using simplified and comprehensible content which is easy to disseminate. In addition, because of our enthusiasm to support the next generation of legal minds, we have collaborated with the most prominent educational bodies and universities in the State of Qatar,
such as Qatar University and Lusail University, both of which are involved in our external training programme for students. We are committed to training a number of students annually, in coordination with the supervisors of the external training programme at the College of Law, thereby contributing to spreading legal principles and values in Qatari society.
